Cannabis

Hemp grown in Korea has not been used industrially other than as a raw material for hemp fibers for clothing. However, in recent years, single ingredient extracted/refined from hemp is being used worldwide for food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

In the case of pharmaceuticals, a treatment for pediatric epilepsy containing cannabidiol (CBD) from cannabis is already in the market, and hemp is rapidly emerging as a high-value-added raw material for the pharmaceutical industry as various cannabinoid components in cannabis have been studied for their therapeutic effects on aging diseases such as Alzheimer’s and intractable diseases.

29 countries, including Canada, the United States, Germany, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom, have legalized medical cannabis, and in Korea, hemp-based medicines for medical purposes are also available for limited use

Therefore, Neocannbio is striving to develop various cannabinoid raw materials, new manufacturing technology and commercialization of related products using medical hemp with low hallucinogenic ingredients.
