Neocannbio is a technology investment company of KIST (Korea Institute of Science and Technology) pursuing development of new drugs to improve quality of life l through the production of various cannabinoid drug raw materials and continuous discovery of efficacy based on research know-how in the field of natural products and eco-friendly microwave manufacturing technology for patients with rare and intractable diseases in Korea.
For drug development using cannabiniod ingredients, we are developing ner drugs by using intelligent drug delivery systems, discovering synerdistic effects of cannabinoids, and optimizing the efficacy od new ingredients.
More than 140 cannabinoid compounds found in hemp can be used as functional materials and raw materials for pharmaceuticals. Neocannbio is laying the groundwork for discovering new efficacy, providing service for content testing, and producing raw materials by building an extensive cannabinoid library, including the synthesis of hemp-derived natural cannabinoids and derivatives along with metabolites for the first time in Korea.
Neocannbio is developing a GMP production process for high-purity cannabidiol (CBD) using microwave processing technology as a special demonstration company for the Gyeongbuk Industrial Hemp Regulatory Free Zone project, along with developing technology for mass production and commercialization of medical cannabinoids through cutting-edge metabolic engineering technology.
